These photos are a sampling of the hundreds of fine exhibits
that were displayed at our 21st annual show. The early fall weather
cooperated to bring out droves of exhibitors and spectators for the
weekend’s events.
The Eagle tractor is owned and operated by Rick Horning of
Galion, Ohio. This 1926 16/30 Eagle was sold
new by C. L. Wood, the Galion Eagle dealer, to Chatfield Township
for use as a road grader. Rick has many unusual tractors and
usually brings a different one every year.
The man pointing his finger, at you is Walter Payne from
Cleveland, Ohio’, with just a few of his many apple parers. As
well as being an apple parer expert, Walter displays a fine model
steam traction engine.
The large engine display is dominated by the 10 HP Bessemer, 20
HP Pattin, and a 20 HP J C, owned by Don Wharton from Grafton,
Ohio. Don is an enthusiastic large engine fan and always has an
attractive and eye catching display.
Our show has outgrown the facility we’ve been using for the
past years and our 1992 show will be moved to the Lorain County
Fairgrounds at Wellington, Ohio. This is about 10 miles southwest
of our old location and will give almost unlimited expansion room.
Come and join us September 19-20, the same bunch of friendly
people, just a different location.
