HOBBY SHOW REPORT

Burchard, Nebraska

The Southeast Nebraska Hobby Show held July 4th at the Edwin
Bredemeier Farm, northeast of Burchard, Nebraska was attended by
about 1500 people. The weather was perfect with temperatures in the
80’s. After having rains for about five weeks the grounds were
dust free and covered with a nice growth of grass.

There were about twenty different hobbists on the grounds will)
steam engines, gas engines, old tractors, restored cars, old farm
machinery, horses and covered wagons, ponies and scale model stage
coach. 4 H Rock and Mineral Club. Also a spinning wheel.

There was a full program from 10 A.M. to 5 P.M. threshing,
shelling corn, plowing soil for sod house, free rides for kiddies,
spinning wheel demonstration making yarn and other activities of
interest to the crown. The camera fans were busy at all times and
many people before departing for home said they hoped the hobbists
would have another show in 1968
