Vice President Rt 2, Box 167A Republic, Missouri 65738
Congratulations are in order for Menno Kliewer for being named
an honorary lifetime member of EDGE&TA Branch 8.
I would also like to mention ‘Good Job’ to Doris Soults,
Editor of Branch 8’s The Hit & Miss newsletter. A special
thanks to all of the clubs for a fine job they do on their
newsletters and for keeping us up to date on your club
activities.
We are very happy to announce our first branch in the state of
Texas! They call themselves the Granbury Flywheelers, Branch 43 and
hail from Granbury, Texas. Their president is Billy Reynolds, 830
Oak-trail Drive, Granbury, Texas 76048; vice president is Riley
Reynolds, 1207 N. Breckenridge, Breckenridge, Texas 76424;
secretary/treassurer is Terrie Parker, 2A Commanchie Shadow,
Granbury, Texas 76048. This is a new club which was organized in
the past year. They plan to have a show sometime in the fall.
Welcome to EDGE&TA! Granbury is near Fort Worth, so if
you’re planning to drive through Texas, look them up!
One night during January, Nelson Brummett, Joe Brown, and I
visited with Tired Iron of the Ozarks, Branch 37, in Gentry,
Arkansas. This club was organized in Spring 1992 and now has over
100 members. Their first show was held in September. They are
making plans for their next show in September 1993, which will
include a tractor pull. For being such an icy, winter night, we
were impressed with the great turnout and enjoyed meeting with
Glenn Smith, president, and all the other members.
The National would like to extend sincere condolences to Chady
Atteberry and his family in the passing of his wife, Pat, on
December 9, 1992. Chady is the president of the Oklahoma Steam
Threshing and Gas Engine Association and past president of the J.I.
Case Heritage Foundation.
