Vice President Rt. 2, Box 167A Republic, Missouri 65738
We’d like to welcome Branch 56 into the National. Branch 56
secretary/treasurer is Lynn Acord, P.O. Box 385, Encampment,
Wyoming 82323.
We just returned from Salt Lake City, Utah, where this
year’s National Meeting was held. A big thanks to Bruce Rodgers
and all the members of Branch 14 for an outstanding show! This was
the 10th annual show for Branch 14.
The feature tractor of the National Meeting was Power Horse. The
Power Horse is a tractor that was developed and built in Utah.
Albert W. Bonham (Bert) had an idea of how to build a tractor that
would take the place of a team of horses. A tractor of this design
would allow the farmer to use his horse-drawn equipment. I
didn’t count the Power Horse tractors on display, but they had
some nicely restored tractors. A lot of the gas engines that were
on display were West Coast engines. We also enjoyed the tractor
pull! Thanks again to Branch 14 for hosting this year’s
National!
Plan ahead for the 1995 National which will be hosted by Branch
15. The dates are July 28-30, 1995, at Antique Power land, Brooks,
Oregon.
We have a new director for the East Region. He is Jerry Wymore
from Branch 40. He replaces Ed Longhenry. Ed has served as Director
of East Region for two years and we would like to say thanks to Ed
for a job well done. More from the National in the next issue.
