As I write this, the National show, hosted by Branch 13 at Grass
Valley, California, is only a few weeks away, so there isn’t a
lot of news from the National at this time.

We would like to welcome Branch 45 into the National. This is a
new club in the West Lake, Louisiana area. Geraldine Litteral is
the president. Geraldine’s address is 2560 Stradey Road, West
Lake, LA 70669. If you are planning a vacation in the area, contact
Geraldine and stop by for a visit. It is always good to see engines
and iron from other states.

I received a call a few weeks ago from Carl H. Symonds from
Victoria, Texas. He was in Branson, Missouri for a vacation. We
live about 45 miles from Branson, so Carl came by for a visit. I
showed him my engines and tractors then gave him a tour of the
Ozark Steam Engine Show grounds.

We attended the show at Pawnee, Oklahoma in May. There were
several good gas engines on display but there was also a lot of
rain. We were there on Saturday and it rained about all day, so the
exhibitors didn’t get to run the engines very much. Not to
worry there was lots of visiting going on.

Hope to have a report of the National Meeting in the next
issue.
