TRACTORS

A 1926 12-20 Case Crossmotor owned by Claude Hutchings of
Sulpher Springs Road, Sauquoit, New York 13456, who writes ‘I
found this tractor holding up a silo in a barnyard and it had been
doing that job for some 35 years it was about 18 inches sunk into
the ground.’ Claude reports that the two year restoration was
well  worth it, and comments on the uniqueness of the
12-20’s design: ‘The frame is one piece of cast iron. The
crankshaft lays in the frame and the block sits on top of
it.’

A photo of a 25-40 X Rumely Oil Pull, serial number 2083. The
tractor belongs to Fred Bloom and Jim Geddert of Alpena, Michigan.
The two collectors bought the tractor near Atlanta, Michigan in
1982 and spent five months restoring it. Bloom lives at 11457 Bell
Bay, Alpena, Michigan 49707.
