I have been a subscriber to GEM for several years, and decided
to send you the history of my Fordson as it has a rather unusual
story behind it. I went to the Waverly, Iowa Horse and Machine
Sale, which consists of buggies, cutters and horse-related
items.

This Fordson was brought in with a load of horse drawn equipment
from the East. Mr. Dean, owner of the sale, said as long as the man
came so far and brought horse drawn equipment to sell he would make
an exception.

There was nothing basically wrong, but some small parts were
missing on the Fordson. I have been to several parades with it and
went to Mt. Pleasant, Iowa in 1988 and paraded it every day.

I also have a Minneapolis Moline KTA which was to be scrapped
when a friend told me about it. I must say it was a real challenge
but runs great now.

A Tom Thumb International was completely dismantled when found,
even the flywheels were off.

I am 71 years old and have enjoyed restoring old tractors and
machinery for many years.
