The Golden Roll

| September/October 1981

615 N. Eddy Street, Sandwich, Illinois 60548.

NEIL MILLER, 73, Alden, Iowa, passed away March 27, 1981 following a lingering illness. Mr. Miller had farmed most of his life in Hardin County and was widely known for his collection of steam powered engines and his 27 years with his annual steam engine show. The sale of that equipment last year attracted people from all over the United States, Canada and England.

Neil held a truly nice show. We would see threshing, shelling, sawing -all with steam power. It was great to see all of these steam-driven machines. A lot of talent died as Mr. Miller passed away.
