LAWRENCE BROVONT, 77, of Hastings, Michigan, died February 1, 1993. He was a past member of the Kalamazoo Valley Antique Engine and Machinery Club, Kalamazoo, Michigan; St. Joe Valley Old Engine Assn. Inc., Jones, Michigan; and North East Indiana Steam and Gas Assn., La Grange, Indiana.

He enjoyed tinkering with his old engines, six John Deere tractors and exhibiting them at the above shows, as well as attending many other shows in Michigan and northern Indiana. Although in declining health, he was able to attend several shows in 1992.

He was employed by E. W. Bliss Company, Hastings, Michigan for over thirty years. A veteran of World War II, he was buried in the Fort Custer Military Cemetery, Battle Creek, Michigan, with Military Honors. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Hastings, Michigan. He is survived by a son, stepdaughter, and several grandchildren.

KATHRYN M. KUHL, age 74, died February 1, 1993 at the Lutheran Home in Frankenmuth, Michigan, following a lengthy illness. She was born July 6, 1918 in Unionville, Michigan, daughter of the late John and Mary (Horich) Kruse. She married William C. Kuhl in 1940.

Kathryn was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing and its Mary Martha Guild.
