FREDERIC W. ('Unk') KLEIN passed away February 11, 1996. He was 86 years old.

He retired from the Lackawanna Steel Mill of Bethlehem Steel with 38 years of service. He was a farmer, hunter, mechanic, tinkered on old Fords, and the maker and fixer of most things that do good to Plain People.

He served with Patton's Third Army in Europe in the combat construction engineers, with the rank of Technical Sergeant. When he was able to, he showed a Coles hit and miss engine at engine shows.

Gone but not forgotten.

Submitted by his nephew, Capt. Donald M. Laurie, USMS Ret., 68 Argyle Place, Orchard Park, New York 14127.
