Unusual Emerson Brantingham

| December/January 1988

Robert Seibert of 2022 Monterey, Colorado Springs, CO 80910 owns the 2? HP Emerson-Brantingham engine on this month's cover.

Unusual features of this engine are: the ignitor uses a vertical trip lever-this is done by two rocker arms tied together with a push rod; the flywheels have hollow portions for counter weight, leaving the outside smooth (no indentations). The Emerson type 'S' was introduced about 1914.
