Pohl Mfg. Co., Jaeger, Sta-Rite, Fairbanks-Morse ZC, Witte
I am doing some research on the George D. Pohl Mfg. Co., and would like readers' input on the subject. I am looking for any history on the company, as well as information on existing engines, especially serial numbers and current location. Copies of catalogs and literature would also be most welcome. Woody Sins, 3 Edna Terrace, New Hartford, NY 13413; email@example.com
I am the proud owner of a 3 HP Fairbanks-Morse ZC. I can read the serial number on top of the water hopper, 894457; and on the bottom is serial no. IF ZAC2C3. On the flywheel is serial no. ZAC13F5 GF.
Can any one help me out? I am new to the hobby and am looking for a photo of this 3 HP ZC engine. Thank You. Adrian Ramler, 123 12th Ave. S.E., St. Joseph, MN 56374-8503; (320) 363-1164 (after 5 p.m.); RamlerA@aol.com
Can you please tell me the year and correct color for this engine? It is a 6 HP Witte, serial no. 102666, 480 RPM. Dale Pestes, 4200 S.E. Troutdale Road, Gresham, OR 97080.
I have a photo of a Jaeger cement mixer wagon with a 3-1/2 HP engine and a Simplex pole-pulling and pole-straightening jack mounted on it. I don't know what kind of engine it is. Its serial number is 372430 and it runs at 550 RPM. I'm not sure if it's the right engine for this wagon. Any information on the model and color of the engine would be greatly appreciated. Hello from Canada! I just bought a little gas engine made by Sta-Rite and sold by Renfrew in Ontario, Canada. My problem is that it has a connecting rod from Ford and the cut and weld is unusual, but an old gentleman, who is 90 years old, swears this engine came brand new like that.
Somebody also told me that there was information in Gas Engine Magazine that mentions an engine made with a Ford connecting rod. If someone knows something, please contact me. The engine is 1-1/2 HP. I am looking for help. I bought the engine below in a basket, so I don't know if I have all the parts or not. Can someone help me identify this engine? It is about 20 inches tall, has two valves, one rocker arm and a flyball governor. Don Crader, 398 V.Z. County Road 3407, Wills Point, TX 75169.
