Towering behind the chubby gray haired fellow is his 30 HP gearless Alma engine. The 1907 engine was originally installed to run the grain elevator in Munger, Michigan. I restored it the spring of 1993. Engine alone weighs 7,000 lbs. It has a .12' bore and 16' stroke. Top speed is 210 RPM. We run it much slower. This engine and many more can be seen at the Thumb Area Old Engine and Tractor Show, held at Caro, Michigan fairgrounds August 12-14, 1994.
