Beautiful weather, great people, interesting exhibits, and delicious food, all combined together to help celebrate UAW Local 662's annual Antique Gas Engine and Tractor Show, in Anderson, Indiana.

The show was held June 3-5. Excitement was in the air on Friday, as the mighty tractors and gas engines began to decorate the grounds. Flea market vendors were displaying their wares, as were the craft show participants. The tantalizing aroma of food filled the air, as the annual fish fry served hundreds of dinners.

Saturday, a rainbow of color, and a symphony of sound existed at the show. The 'Desert Sunset and Flambeau Red' colors of the massive J. I. Case tractors sparkled in the bright Hoosier sun, along with the delicate sun catchers of flea market vendor Cindy Kreegar of Eufaula, Alabama. The ever so whimsical chugging of the gas engines outside could be heard in the distance on the inside, where members of the Spring Valley Quilt Guild ever so patiently took the painstaking stitches at the quilting bee.

This year nine states and Canada were represented at the show. Fifty union locals were registered. There were 87 tractors and 234 gas engines exhibited.

Roger Egolf of Fort Wayne, Indiana, won the People's Choice Award for the gas engines. Ken Parks (Mr. Ranger), of the Mounds State Park in Anderson, won the People's Choice Award for the tractors. Jay and J. R. Gyger of Lebanon, Indiana, won special recognition with nine Case tractor entries. What a beautiful exhibit!
