Unfortunately, we do not always have space to print all the show reports we receive. However, don't be discouraged if yours hasn't been printed in the past-please keep them coming! Here are a few samplings from some shows held in 1981:

The plow worked better than expected considering the strange looking self-lift mechanism. This plow was acquired by six members of the organization, so each owner had one bottom to clean off after plowing! Many horses and other tractors including steam also plowed at the October display. BELL TOWN ANTIQUE CAR CLUB Middletown, Connecticut

Richard Beckwith and I cochaired the show and thought it to be successful. We do some things that are somewhat unthinkable, like judging engines! We gave 14 nice school-type bells with a hardwood base for them to sit on. We have had hardly any complaints. We have three very impartial judges that know a lot about engines.

FARMER AND THRESHERMEN'S JUBILEE New Centerville, PA

YADKIN COUNTY STEAM & GAS ASSOCIATION Yadkinville, North Carolina

Many of the exhibitors had their engines belted to early machinery. Some of the engines on display were Novo, McCormick Deering, Stover, Hercules, Foos.

Sonny had his 1906 Case steam engine belted up to the saw mill and kept the crowds entertained by sawing and blowing the whistle, which could be heard all over town.

A good time was had by all, and the association is looking forward to next year's show on Saturday, May 29, 1982. Ellis C. Hamby Rt 1, Box 643 Yadkinville. North Carolina 27055
