Lot 24, Cone. 11 Hunta, Ontario, Canada P0L 1P0

This is as far north in Ontario as you will find a show for tractors, engines and machinery. We are twenty miles from the closest town, Cochrarie, and we are ten miles off the main highway. The show is held at the Hunta Museum of Days Gone By; this is the second year we have held the show.

The oldest engine we had running was an 1897 Sawyer-Massey steam engine. The oldest tractor was a 1922 Fordson and oldest car displayed was a 1909 Hupmobile. We had 30 old cars and trucks on display. Tractors ranged from Massey-Harris 4-wheel drive, Fordson, Case, and McCormick-Deering. Engines ranged from Lister, Economy, Massey-Harris, McCormick-Deering, Fairbanks Morse, Sawyer-Massey and others. We had engines working on washing machines, saws, etc.

We baled hay with a 1913 International hay press belted to a 1938 F-14 Farmall. We used a Case 22 x 37 thresher belted to a Case L tractor. Lots of old equipment to look at, from Bain wagons to a Tudhope & Anderson No. 3 manure spreader made in Orillia, Ontario, and lots more. Working displays were on handcorn shellers, rope making, butter making, cross cut saws, etc. We had a collection of chain saws of every type. There were hay rides, square dancing, and live music. We had something for everyone who came to have fun at this show.

Our food stand was very busy and the ladies did a very fine job. I would like to thank the boys from the Earlton Steam Show for bringing and running their displays and machinery. Also want to thank all who came out with their cars and trucks, and those who helped us make this far-north show a success.
