The 17th Annual LeSueur County Pioneer Power Show was held
August 24, 25, & 26, 1990 at their 98 acre permanent
showgrounds.

New for 1990 was the addition of the newly built Miniatureland
building. John Barklow and his son John Jr. from St. Peter,
Minnesota take charge of this area of the show. The new building is
complete with an air compressor room so as to furnish air to the
models that require air to operate. Nearly 40 exhibitors from the
midwest and across the U.S. show off their working models during
the show.

Also new was the Country Store, full of arts and craft items for
sale, and the new Ice Cream Parlour complete with homemade ice
cream.

Good weather prevailed throughout the weekend, and the field
events all took place as scheduled, although we had been wet up
until then so plowing was a little on the sticky side.

I would like to thank all our exhibitors who helped make our
show a success; without you folks, none of these shows would make a
go of it. Our exhibitors receive free admission, camping, and a
brass exhibitors plaque.

We are pleased to announce that in conjunction with our 1991
show on August 23, 24, & 25 we will be hosting the 7th annual
J.I. Case Collector’s Association summer convention. This is
the first time in Minnesota for a nation al J.I. Case convention,
so plan now to be with us in ’91.
