Hall of Fame To Hold Special Events

| February/March 1995

The National Agricultural Center and Hall of Fame, 630 Hall of Fame Drive, Bonner Springs, Kansas 66012, proudly announces its Calendar of Special Events for 1995.

The National Agricultural Center and Hall of Fame was chartered by Congress in 1960 to honor farmers and achievers in agriculture. The Center features a Museum of Farming, a museum of early household items, the National Farmers Memorial, the National Rural Art Gallery, Farm Town USA, a nature trail, and many other attractions.

The Center houses thousands of agricultural and rural artifacts and art, plus the first farm truck, steam engines, threshing machines, other antique vehicles, a covered wagon, a one-room school, a country store, a veterinarian's office, Harry Truman's plow, ice harvesting tools and a unique collection of barbed wire. All these and much more are displayed in a beautiful 172-acre setting.

Upcoming events in 1995 include Farm Heritage Days, held July 28-30, and featuring wheat threshing displays, tractor pull, antique and classic tractor display, draft horses, craft show, wood-carving, swap meet, blacksmith demonstrations, train rides, etc. This event is cosponsored by the Greater Kansas City Two Cylinder Club.

The Agricultural Hall of Fame is conveniently located near the interchange of I-70 and Kansas Route 7 at Bonner Springs just a few miles west of downtown Kansas City. The Center is open seven days a week from March 19 through November (except on major holidays). Hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.
