The Cedar Valley Engine Club of Charles City, Iowa had another good year.

We threshed about 10 acres of oats again this year. The large saw mill was busy as well as the small saw mill. The shingle mill sawed lots of cedar shingles for souvenirs. There was a two-hole corn sheller shelling corn and then the corn was ground with a small burr grinder.

We had the usual lineup of gas engines with some new exhibitors this year and we're hoping they come back again.

We still feature the Hart Parr tractors plus we have lots of others including steam engines.

We were favored to have Clarence Denser of Austin, Manitoba, attend our show this year. He was raised on a 30-60 Hart Parr and helped us run ours on Saturday. He also gave us some good pointers on how to run it. As a result we were able to start it and run it a lot better.
