Unique, unusual, and 'I've never seen that before' were comments that could be heard at the 7th Annual UAW Local 662 Gas Engine and Tractor Show that was held May 31-June 2, 1991, in Anderson, Indiana. There were 121 vintage tractors, 211 gas engines, farm toys, country music, handmade crafts, flea markets, antiques of many kinds, and 'great people,' all of which helped to make this year's event a great show!

This year's show featured Minneapolis Moline tractors and equipment. Moline exhibitors from five states shared their vintage equipment. Everett Kuester from Valders, Wisconsin won the Traveler's Trophy, traveling 350 miles to exhibit his MM Avery V.

Another unique exhibit was a 1941 Minneapolis Moline Jeep owned by Ernest Weissert from Bourbon, Indiana. This Jeep was built for the U.S. Navy for use during World War II. These vehicles were used mainly as aircraft movers, and were the original Jeeps.

Don Kingin of McCordsville, Indiana exhibited his restored 1938 Minneapolis Moline UDLX. Pendleton, Indiana residents Rex and Dale Mercer exhibited their fine collection of Moline tractors.

Several contests were held for the tractor exhibitors. Among them were a wagon backing contest, a quick start, an obstacle course, a blind race, and a slow race. The talented winners were Tom Owens, Tom Dellinger, Tim Gellinger, Kent Parks, Tony Alford, John Pearson, and Richard Moore. These fellows really know how to operate their equipment.
