Lloyd and Fred Miller's 1934 Plymouth tractor, one of only 213 made. Made by the Fate-Root-Heath Co., Plymouth, Ohio, this was the forerunner of the Silver King line of tractors.

The easiest way to describe the July 2001 Riverbed Steam & Gas Show in Allendale, Mich., is HOT! HOT! HOT! The heat and humidity were oppressive, and the crowd was down because of that, but it did not dampen our spirits. We all had a great time and were pleased with the turnout of Ford, Fordson and Ferguson tractors and trucks.

Club member Ward DeWent brought five Fords, including his 1948 8N with a flathead Ford V8 conversion. He also had a 1953 Ford grain truck he recently purchased at auction. He plans on using this truck to haul his soybeans.

Exhibitor Jerry Sall brought five Fergusons and a 1940 Ford 9N, and the Van Wyler family had a Ford Model T with a tractor conversion kit on it.

The Riverbend Club wants to thank everybody who brought a Ford, Ferguson or Fordson to the show. Our next show will be held July 19-20, 2002, and we'll be featuring Case tractors and equipment. We also hope to have the addition for our sawmill completed - we have plans to put a line shaft in the addition.
