The 24th Annual Prairie Village Jamboree was held August 22, 23, and 24 without any major problems from the weather which, you all know, can make or break a show.

Friday, the state antique tractor plowing contest was held in the morning, the state antique tractor pull on rubber tires in the afternoon and home entertainment in the Opera House in the evening.

Saturday we had the state horse plowing contest in the morning, the state antique tractor pull on steel wheels in the afternoon, and the Old Time Fiddlers in the Opera House in the evening.

Sunday, church services were held and gospel quartets performed in the Opera House.

Some of the daily attractions included steam and gas threshing. We had a hand fed thresher powered by an 8 HP International Famous gas engine which worked very well. Then our newest attraction, which drew a lot of attention, was the 6-team horsepower operated Red River Special thresher. Some trouble was experienced on Friday keeping the horsepower staked down, but on Saturday and Sunday, it was working with very few problems.
