Abenaque Engines

| March 2005

In regards to Abenaque engines, here's a picture of my 3 HP. As far as I know, this and the one pictured on pages 16-17 of the September 1994 issue of GEM and owned by Walt Celly of Cabot, Vt., are the only ones in existence. There is not much history on this engine. Too bad Bill Vossler could not include it in his article.

Anyone interested in Abenaque engines should get the book Abenaque Machine Works by Patricia Haas and Alice C. Caggiano, and copyrighted by the Westminster Historical Society. For information, write to the Westminster Historical Society, Town Hall, Westminster, VT 05158.
