The Yadkin County Steam and Gas Assn. of Yadkinville, North
Carolina had another good show this year at the home of Sonny
Howell.

There were over seventy-five engines on display including a mill
grinding out flour, a rock crusher, an old belt-driven wood
splitter, a gas-powered churn, and the ever-faithful sawmill. There
were several John Deere and McCormick Deering tractors on
display.

There were two steam engines on display: one was a 1909 Case and
the other was a Frick traction that Sonny is in the process of
restoring! He hopes to have it restored for the ’83 show.

Kent Pfaff was on hand with his cannon and kept the crowd
entertained with firing the cannon during the day.

A great time was had by all and plans are already being prepared
for the ’83 show which will be held on June 4, 1983.
