This Cletrac Model K crawler tractor has been restored by E.R.
‘Bob’ Carr, 14754 You Bet Rd., Grass Valley, CA 95945. It
still has its original Cleveland engine with 4′ bore x 5?’
stroke. The only non-original part is the carburetor, which came
from a Model A Ford. This crawler was used for logging from about
1932-1949, after which it was put to work in an orchard for many
years. Bob’s interested in learning more about Cletracs and the
history of the Cleveland Tractor Company, and hopes to start
showing his crawler at area gas-ups soon.

A 1946 Ford tractor owned by Leroy Folkerts of Forreston,
Illinois, purchased at a farm auction. It has been completely
restored after being stripped down and all parts painted separately
by a professional using the original color of paint. The bumper was
missing, however, the proper style was located.

All needed parts were available at a local Ford dealer.

owned since 1954 and restored in 1975. ‘When we brought the
truck home, it did not have a rack on it and the wood part of the
cab was in bad shape. However, the motor would run and we were able
to drive it-only one stuck valve had to be repaired on the motor.
Through the years it sat, bumble bees made a nest in the clutch
housing- the honey and comb around the plates caused rust and they
were very hard to disassemble. New plates were made of stainless

An 8 HP Emerson Brantingham engine in fine condition without the
original magneto. Carl Shafer of R #2, Box 17, Walton, WV 25286
found it under the roof of a mill shed that had fallen down on top
of it. The engine apparently runs fine using a model T coil.
