Mystic Update

We’ve received an update from the Mystic Seaport Museum,
Mystic, Connecticut 16355-0990. You may recall the article on page
8 of the September 1990 GEM, entitled ‘Connecticut Museum Needs
Help.’ The help they needed was in identifying three
‘mystery.’ engines.

Word now comes that the museum needs even more help than asked
for in September! Their crew has rebuilt the 1926 Post-built
dragger Florence, originally powered by a 65 HP, 6 cylinder Lathrop
Standard Model, and two years later by a 65 HP, 4 cylinder
Bridgeport. The staff would like details about these engines or
parts for them. Same request goes regarding their recently acquired
1897 oyster boat whose original power was a 12 HP Wolverine.
