Over the past couple of years I have been talking to people at
shows where IH was featured about an IH collectors’ club. Most
are puzzled by the fact that there is none and think it would be
great to have one, but getting it started would be a lot of work.
Our local power show, ‘Northern Indiana Power From the
Past’ at Winamac, Indiana will be featuring IHC engines and
tractors for 1990. We have the OK from our show directors to host
an organizational meeting for an IH collectors’ club. Our
annual show will be held July 19, 20, 21, & 22, 1990.
Anyone who is interested in being involved in this effort,
please send comments and suggestions to me at the address above.
Anyone who would just like more information as things progress,
please include an SASE. When writing, please mention your area of
collecting interest and your favorite or most unusual items, and
family members’ names if you like. We want to try to keep a
computer list of respondents (members, if this effort is
successful). One benefit of a club would be to locate unusual items
to help shows have more complete IH feature displays.
