The Historical Construction Equipment Association is keeping the
past alive through the preservation of antique construction
equipment. On August 6-8 they will hold their national convention
in Brownsville, Pennsylvania, in conjunction with the National Pike
Steam, Gas and Horse Association 1993 show.
Watch a 1926 Erie steam shovel load a 1921 Mack Bulldog dump
truck. See a 1927 Caterpillar Sixty tractor pulling a Euclid
scraper (as seen above). View antique cars, trucks, tractors,
bulldozers, skimmer shovels and other equipment both displayed and
actually working.
Simultaneously, the National Pike Steam, Gas and Horse
Association is sharing some farming methods of the past in a
demonstration of threshing, baling, shingle making and
sawmilling.
The fairgrounds are located just off US Route 40 west of
Brownsville, Pennsylvania on sixty beautiful wooded acres. For
further information contact Lou McMaster at the above address, or
call 412-356-2307.
