The Pioneer Machinery Club of Merrill, Iowa had a very good first season. We had a little show at the Merrill Town and Country Days. We also were invited to show at the Plymouth County Fair.

We had five old tractors and a lot of restored horse machinery. Mr. Lester Williams showed a 100 year old wooden corn planter, that had to be tripped by a person riding ahead of the driver. Mr. Williams also took the planter to the Iowa State Fair and won first prize in the Antique Machinery Class.

6 Hp. Aeromotor Gas Engine owned by Frank Bogenrief of Hinton, Iowa. This engine was used to power an inside elevator and never sat outside. It is in like new condition. The Twin City tractor in rear came from the same place and is like new. Wally Miller is the owner.
