I hope you are all starting to warm up and thaw out from the
cold winter. I would like to correct some information that was
printed in my last article. There was a misprint in the
Director’s assignments for EDGE&TA. Gus Peterson is the
Director for the Northwest. His phone number is 541-934-2601. Floyd
Schmall and I are directors in the Southwest. Also, the dates for
the Southwest Regional that were printed on the back of the
February issue were wrong. The correct dates are April 20, 21, and
22. This will be the first Regional show for 2001. Early set-up
will be on Friday, April 20 and the EDGE&TA meeting will be
held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday evening. Show hours on Saturday are
8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This show
is being held in conjunction with the Tulare Antique Farm and
Equipment Show. This is probably one of the biggest shows on the
West Coast. For more information, you can call Granger Glenn at
559-787-2464 or e-mail: granger@theadrive.com.

The National EDGE&TA show will be hosted by Branch 32 on
June 21, 22, and 23 in Ozark, Arkansas. This should be a great
show, and I hope to see many EDGE&TA members from across the U.
S. there. The vice president of Branch 32 and National Meeting
Committee chairman is Mike Collins. He can be reached for further
information at 501-890-4802 or e-mail: mcol-lins@mail.cswnet.com or
Betty Bocksnick at 501-331-2619 or e-mail: betty-bud@ipa.net. You
may check out information on the National and all Regional shows at
www.ave.net/-edgeta/.

With the show season starting up, don’t forget that safety
is the first order of business. Each show has a safety person, but
remember, we are all responsible for safety and should be looking
out for each other. When you attend shows, don’t forget to
bring stanchions, safety ropes, and fire extinguishers. Remember to
follow the rules pertaining to distances between ropes and engines
and other specifications that you will find in your safety
guidelines. If you have questions, I’m sure the designated
safety person can assist you.

In closing, the Directors and Advisors of EDGE&TA are here
to assist you in any way we can. Please feel free to call on any of
us if the need arises.
