FRANK R. SLICHTER, 71, of Casper, Wyoming passed away July 29 after a five-week illness. He was a collector of gas engines and a member of several engine clubs, having been a charter member of Front Range Antique Power Association and Cowboy State Steam and Gas Association. He loved engines and his engine friends and was never too busy to help his many friends with their problems. He and his wife Jean attended many shows each year and always looked forward to the start of show season each spring. He is survived by his wife, one son, and two grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew him.

CLIFFORD H. POWELL of Orrtanna, Pennsylvania passed away June 1, 1989. Clifford was the father of Roy F. Powell who passed away October 29, 1988.
Clifford, along with his son Roy and brother Glenn, attended many gas engine shows throughout Maryland and Pennsylvania and it was a pleasure to see the closeness of this family and the respect and pleasure they had with their many gas engine friends. His brother Glenn still attends the shows.
Clifford will be greatly missed by all who knew this quiet gentleman.

JIM W. SKUTT passed away very suddenly on June 16, 1989. Jim was born in Pontiac, Michigan on March 5, 1926. He married his childhood sweetheart, Jeanne, and moved to Southern California. They had three children and, after 32 years at Lockheed in Advanced Development, Jim and Jeanne retired in Eureka.
In the 1950's and 1960's he was active with his 1928 Ford and the Model A Ford Club of America. He also had a Model T and a 1931 Alfa Romeo. After he retired, he kept a Model T Speedster but became more involved with stationary engines and logging equipment. In his retirement years he acquired a large collection of drag saws and vintage logging equipment.
Jim will be badly missed by the many people he has touched. We feel very fortunate to have been his friends for so many years.
