The day dawned cloudy and it looked like rain for our second annual Crank-Up in Pepperell last June13.

Fortunately by the middle of the morning it had cleared to a beautiful day and gas engines and tractor enthusiasts from all over New England began to gather at the Town Field.

This year we were able to attract quite a bit of working machinery. Ted Larter's loom powered by an Olds engine and a dog treadmill along with several saw rigs, drag saws and assorted and sundry old machines added immeasurably to the Meet.

John Blood brought us several loads of wood (along with a good collection of engines) so we had plenty of raw material. Once again the Warren Veteran Firefighter Association took good care of the eats and helped with traffic and parking.

Kim Spaulding and I would like to once again thank everyone who came and helped to make our second show a success.
