This year the Blue Ridge Steam and Gas Association will
celebrate its fifth year as a chartered non-profit
organization.

Our show this past year was very successful due to enthusiastic
community support that included the Weyers Cave Volunteer Fire
Department.

In addition to the antique tractor pull and 186 gas engines, the
kiddie tractor pull proved to be a big event. A cross-cut sawing
contest resulted in lots of sawdust, sweat, and aching muscles.
Paul Bunyan would have been proud of us.

Our exhibitors and displays were up 25% over last year. Also
participating were community businesses, civic organizations,
schools and other steam and gas organizations. There were six other
steam and gas organizations participating with our show from as far
away as Florida.

The steam engine folks again this past year did an excellent job
with their five big engines and 26 steam models. ‘Lotsa air was
available.’

The weather was ideal for the corn shucker/sheller, oats roller
and working exhibits. The working exhibits included: blacksmith,
grist mill, sawmill, and thrashing/baling.

We have found that a little help to unload and load up
exhibitors’ stuff gives you a good reputation.

Come give us a try-June 24 through 27, 1992.
