Horsearound Ranch Museum Sonora, California 95370

Five years ago, with a dream and some friends, the first gas up
took place with a few engines and a tractor or two. Now after four
years of hard work, our hosts, Bill and Dorene Ramsden, held one of
the largest gas ups in the area on August 13-15.

There were approximately 80 engines and about 225 tractors plus
fire equipment, trucks and a fine flea market. The show started on
Friday and there was a parade Saturday and Sun day, with a tractor
pull on Saturday evening. A passenger wagon was avail able to all,
as this show is spread over 20 acres, so everyone was able to
participate in the festivities and see the many exhibits.

The show is held once a year on the second weekend in August and
is located halfway between Carson City and Minden, Nevada, with
good restaurants and nice casinos with Lake Tahoe just minutes
away.

A big thank you to Gene Anderson and Dennis Chaney for the
photos, it is sure appreciated.

Next year plan to attend this new event. I’m sure the whole
family will enjoy it.
