THEY DON'T DUPLICATE GAS ENGINESBy Art Dickey306 W. Anthony, Corydon, Iowa 50060 Around 12 years ago, I went to an antique show at Unionville, Mo. At this show I met a couple from Lemons, Mo., Dana and Alice Davis, who had a booth at the show. I learned they were just getting started in the antique game. I saw them a few years later at the antique show and they had a much bigger booth. I, also, learned Dana was a farmer and a carpenter. After this I didn't see them for several years, until Dana came into the store where I work and wanted to know if I knew of any gas engines for sale. It seems he had started a personal collection of antique mechanical banks, then found out what he had given over $200.00 for was being duplicated and could be bought for around $27.50. Dana said that was when he decided to collect something that couldn't be duplicated so he started to collect gas engines. Dana now ha... 797 of 2992 characters shown.
