The Georgian Bay Steam, Automotive, Gas & Antique Inc. held their 8th Annual Show and Demonstration at Cookstown, Ontario on Civic Holiday weekend Aug. 4, 5, and 6, 1973. A large crowd saw about 16 Steam engines, nearly 100 gas engines, some 40 tractors, 20 antique cars and trucks and numerous pieces of early farm equipment. There were daily demonstrations of Saw Milling, Drag Sawing, Grain threshing, Shingle Making, Log Hewing, Stone Crushing and Testing the power of various engines on the Baker Fan. The kids enjoyed the free Hay wagon rides and also rode on the model railroad.

The Abernethy family provided musical entertainment on the State. An open air Church Service was held on Sunday evening. A couple of fellows amused themselves and the crowd playing Auto Polo with 2 Model T Fords. The ladies had a very successful bazaar sell...
