THE BRIDGEWATER VOLUNTEER FIRE COMPANY SHOW

Route 1, Box 136, Bridgewater, Virginia 22812.

On July 13, 14, 15, 1972, our Third Annual Lawn Party, Steam and Gas Meet, Antique Car Show and two parades down Main Street of the town was held.

Steam traction engines exhibited: 50 HP E. B. Peerless owned by W. F. (Bill) Harper, Timberville, Virginia; 16 HP Peerless built 1906 owned by Paul Wicheal, Bridgewater, Virginia; 9 x 10 Frick built 1921 owned by Don and Rudolph Evers, Bridgewater; 50 HP E. B. Peerless built 1918 owned by Martin L. Good, Jr., Mt. Sidney, Va; 16 HP Peerless owned by Gilbert Purdam, Stanley, Va; 8½ x 10 Frick built 1914 owned by Ralph Rhodes, Bridgewater; Mr. Sam Osborne, New Oxford, Pennsylvania exhibited a nice Russell traction engine.
