A 1920 Fordson TractorBy George Kubik13583 East 45th Street, Yuma, Arizona 85367 This is a 1920 Fordson, purchased by the city of Ritzville, a small dryland farming community in eastern Washington state. The tractor was used to close ruts in roads left by wheat wagons, hauling sacked wheat to market. This tractor was equipped with steel wheels with big lugs during the 1920s and was used until the city obtained enough resources to blacktop streets and add disk wheels with Firestone hard rubber tires. The tractor was retired in the '30s and stored in an old barn by a retired dentist, until I bought it in 1983. I started restoring it in my winter retirement home in Yuma, Arizona. 620 of 620 characters shown.
