"ALBANY JUBILEE"By Edwin H. BredemeierSteinauer, Nebraska 68441. The Albany Historical Society and Museum held its 1971 Jubilee and Show in July on the 17th and 18th. The weather was perfect both days. The attendance was up from 1970. The special attractions were the Tractor Pull contest on Saturday and Pony Pull contest on Sunday. With steam engines and early day tractor threshing, parades, antique car exhibits, one cylinder gas engines and scale model steam engines each day. As a special on Sunday, a Swap Meet and Flea Market was added and was well received. Albany is a ghost town 2 miles north of Sabetha, Kansas and the only original building left is a limestone two story church that is well preserved.
