IN MEMORIAM

JAMES J. JOHANNSEN, 64, of Marysville, Washington, died February 9, 1995 at home. He was born November 2,1930, at Huron to Julius and Ruth (Housman) Johannsen. He attended schools in Huron.

He served from 1951 to 1953 in the Army during the Korean War. With the exception of the time he spent in the military and from 1959 to 1960, when he lived in Chamberlain, he lived his entire life in Beadle County.

On May 6, 1956, he married Ruby McMillan.

He was a mechanic at Rozum Ford, International Harvester, the South Dakota State Highway Shop and the South Dakota State Fair. He also owned JJ's Repair, retiring in 1992.

He was a member of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, where he served on many boards and sang in the choir for 35 years.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 7, where he was currently serving as post historian. He was a member since 1958, and past ...
