Anderson675 Clear Avenue St. Paul, Minnesota 55106 There seems to be slight realization on the part of the general public as to the general utility of the gasoline engine and the number of special purposes to which it is adapted outside of regular farm work. The fact of the matter is that there are large concerns in this country who devote a considerable portion of their plants to the building of engines that are adapted to many kinds of special work. The Cushman Motor Works of Lincoln, Nebraska, have met with remarkable success in the use of their two cylinder, 6-8 HP engines for hay press work, which is so constructed that it saves over 1,000 pounds in engine weight and 18 inches in the length of the baler as compared to standard outfits with standard engines.
