The 22nd Annual Antique Engine and Tractor Show, sponsored by Tri-State Gas Engine and Tractor Association, Inc., was held at the Jay County Fairgrounds in Portland, Indiana on August 27-30. The 1987 show was the largest ever in several ways for Tri-State. Gasoline engines registered totaled 2,788. There were 410 tractors exhibited, of which 75 were the Wallis/Massey featured line. Garden tractors numbered 50, steam engines 6, and miscellaneous exhibits 191. Exhibitors represented 29 states, the District of Columbia, and three Canadian provinces.
