FROM THE EDITORBy Gerry LestzJudging from the response we have had to our 1986 Steam & Gas Show Directory, this will indeed be the most successful year yet for all the organizations and individuals who collect and show stationary gas engines and antique tractors. We wish you the best and hope our staff members and representatives will carry the message in person. The Directory, which is now available, has a pair of excellent color covers, and contains the listings of 476 shows the largest number ever. These shows are conducted throughout the U.S. and Canada and in some other countries. If you ordered in advance, your copy should be arriving any day; if you have not ordered, we suggest you do so now to stay fully informed. Some of the articles in this issue have an unusual touch to them. One, on Linn tractors, is written by C. H. Wendel, who writes our Reflections column.
