POST CARDThis gorgeous 1924 model "D" was the 792nd tractor to bear the John Deere name. Proud owners Gene Gregory and Dick Morris both of R.D. 1, Louidonville, OH 44842, found the tractor in a North Central Ohio field in 1978. The tractor was sandblasted clean and completely disassembled, then rebuilt from the ground up. All pieces were painted before assembly. Approximately 1,000 hours over an 18 month period went into the restoration and the tractor can now be seen at shows in the Northern Ohio area. Photo courtesy of Joe Allerding. WHAT IS IT?.We need help from any of the Gas Engine buffs! I know this is a marine engine with 2½" bore, 2½" stroke, 3-5/16" long piston, 1 ring piston ½" wide, 12" flywheel diameter x 11/8" wide. Can anyone help me out on identification? Submitted by Irving Sigler, 8107 South "C&quo... 799 of 1263 characters shown.
