Engine Ignition CircuitBy Ralph Donaldson10275 Case Road, Brooklyn, Michigan 49230 The accompanying diagram shows a simple circuit which can be used in four ways for engine ignition: A. When plugged into a 120 volt outlet, terminals 1 and 13 will provide 6 volts AC for a Model T Ford coil. B. Terminals 2 and 3 will provide 10 volts DC to operate a high tension breaker point ignition system; or, of course a Ford coil if you want to use it on DC. C. Terminals 3 and 4 will provide power for a igniter, and the lamp will indicate when the igniter contacts are closed. This gives an easy check on the operation of the igniter. D. If you desire to operate on battery, two size "D" flashlight cells connected to terminals 2 and 3 will provide a good spark for an igniter.
