SHOW REPORTBy Rosan BowdenRoute 8, Zanesville, Ohio 43701 The Muskingum Valley Threshers Association of Zanesville, Ohio held their first show in 1963 at the Bowden Farm. At that show we had only 2 steam engines and a number of gas tractors and gas engines. All three days the machines were kept busy. We had threshing, baling, and running the fan. Since then our show has grown a little each year. Our 1966 show, we thought; was the best year yet. We had 6 steam traction engines, a good number of gas tractors and gas engines, a saw mill, and several pieces of old farm machinery. The steam engines and owners are as follows: 9 hp Case, W. C. Dunlap, New Athens, Ohio; 12 hp Russell, Bill Waxier, Zanesville, Ohio; 12 hp Peerless, Herbert Holmes, Moundsville, West Virginia; 14 hp Frick, Raymond Laizure, Cadiz, Ohio; 20 hp Russell, Charles Harrison, Scio, Ohio; and a 24 hp Minneapolis, Lewis Dittoe... 811 of 1820 characters shown.
