The Muskingum Valley Threshers Association of Zanesville, Ohio held their first show in 1963 at the Bowden Farm. At that show we had only 2 steam engines and a number of gas tractors and gas engines. All three days the machines were kept busy. We had threshing, baling, and running the fan. Since then our show has grown a little each year.

Our 1966 show, we thought; was the best year yet. We had 6 steam traction engines, a good number of gas tractors and gas engines, a saw mill, and several pieces of old farm machinery.

The steam engines and owners are as follows: 9 hp Case, W. C. Dunlap, New Athens, Ohio; 12 hp Russell, Bill Waxier, Zanesville, Ohio; 12 hp Peerless, Herbert Holmes, Moundsville, West Virginia; 14 hp Frick, Raymond Laizure, Cadiz, Ohio; 20 hp Russell, Charles Harrison, Scio, Ohio; and a 24 hp Minneapolis, Lewis Dittoe...
